ELEVATIONS

& DETAILS

Elevations communicate design intent to a level of detail not shown on floor plans.  They offer a view of interior vertical surfaces and provide practical information including dimensions and annotations.  Elevations also indicate the placement of building elements including doors, windows, and architectural details serving as a precise guide for contractors and craftsmen.

Drawing details complement elevations by focusing on specific components within a space, providing close-up views that highlight intricate design elements and materials. Whether showcasing decorative moldings, custom millwork, or intricate hardware details, these drawings serve as a roadmap for implementing the design concept with a high level of detail.

Together, elevations and details are essential tools in the interior design process, facilitating effective planning, communication, and execution of design concepts while ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
